Let me greet everyone Happy Valentines Day!!
As for me, I spent this special day at
Enchanted Kingdom. I can’t believe I am back at the park after 15 years. I was one of the park guests when they opened in 1995. Not that am dateless or something but spending Hearts Day in a unique way is as exciting as eating out or watching a movie.

My blogger friends and I arrived at
Enchanted Kingdom a little past 3PM. We were given this pink pass/wrist tags and Money Wizard, for the rides and to get us something while at the park.
First stop, the Roller Coaster ride. I conquered my fear, for the first time, I let loose, on the ride my hands were up in the air and had my eyes wide open to enjoy the scene.
Then we rode Up, Up and Away, we called it our hot air balloon ride.
Space Shuttle Max was the real deal, it was breathtaking watching the riders scream thus I did not dare to, but my friends did. We also had our photos taken at the Baicapture booth.
We watched the Dragon Dance since this day coincides with Chinese New Year. Took photos and more photos, which is up now at my Facebook. Bought some souvenirs using our Money Wizard.
Then, the magic began at Hug-A-Palooza.
It was indeed a unique Valentines event at
Enchanted Kingdom today. Lovers, families, friends, even strangers hugged each other in the first Hug-A-Palooza. The event was a blast and hugging was the nicest gesture after a tiring walk and mind-blowing rides inside the park. The Brothers Band started the show, entertained us with love songs and some dance tunes from the Jackson 5’s Rockin’ Robin to Rick Astley’s Together Forever to Wonder Girls’ Nobody. Everyone was beamed in excitement when host Tirso Cruz III went up the stage and started the countdown. After which, everyone hugged someone, I even some several couples kissed. A special fireworks display commenced Hug-A-Palooza, with 6,476 persons hugging in total which set this year’s record. It was a wonderful feeling seeing everyone happy, for a moment we have forgotten all our worries and smiled and hugged.
If you missed this one, worry not for this will be an annual event according to Enchanted Kingdom management.
Families in large number where appreciated too at this event. They were given “I Gave A Hug at Enchanting Hug-A-Palooza” pin and chocolates. If my memory serves me right, I think one family tugged with him 34 relatives. What a cool way to spend their day and what a great way to celebrate Valentines Day. I salute them with all my heart. And to Enchanted Kingdom, well done and congratulations for this very successful spreading of love to your park guests.
I’d definitely be going back Enchanted Kingdom, first to ride the Space Shuttle Max, second bring my daughter, third for the second Hug-A-Palooza on 2011.
